Maker Faire Westport is pleased to announce its annual Call for Makers is now open.
Organizers of the sixth annual Maker Faire Westport are looking for creative, innovative people to showcase their skills and talents on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Makers include artists, woodworkers, builders, musicians, people who sew, engineers, comedians, jugglers and more. All ages are welcome. Students, hobbyists and even businesses are welcome to showcase at the event.
Maker Faire Westport will occur on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Since this year’s event will be held on Earth Day, the featured theme will be “Earth”. Event producers invite all people and organizations that will be celebrating Earth Day to participate in this event.
Makers should apply online at westport.makerfaire.com.
This is Connecticut’s largest event focused on creativity and innovation.
The event is free and open to the public, and organizers are planning for a record 10,000 attendees.
“Every year, we see the best, most creative people in the area at Maker Faire Westport,” says Mark Mathias Founder and Co-Chair of Maker Faire Westport, “With this year’s event having a theme of “Earth”, we expect to see more amazing makers and their creations.”
“This year’s event will be the biggest and best so far because of the reception we’ve had from our community,” says Alex Giannini, co-chair, “and the diversity of the people who produce and attend the event.”
The event will be held at the Westport Public Library, on Jesup Green, the Taylor Parking lot and other locations in downtown Westport.
If you would like to become a sponsor, gain visibility to the planned 10,000 attendees and be associated with creative, innovative people, please contact Mark Mathias at firstname.lastname@example.org or 203-226-1791.
