About Maker Faire Westport

The first official Maker Faire event in Connecticut was in Westport on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The SIXTH Maker Faire Westport will be on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10am to 4pm.

At The Westport Library and adjacent Jesup Green, Makers of all types will converge in Westport for a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness — a celebration of the Maker movement.

The Maker Faire Westport is presented by REMARKABLE STEAM in partnership with The Westport Library.

The Maker Faire Westport is independently organized and operated under license from Maker Media, Inc.

Maker Faire originated in 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a project of the editors of Make: magazine. It has since grown into a significant worldwide network of both flagship and independently-produced events.

What is Maker Faire?

Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects.

We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth — a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness.
